ASK Arizona Scholarship Application 2018-19

America’s Scholarship Konnection is a state approved School Tuition Organization that awards scholarships in Arizona through 4 different programs.

  1. Individual
  2. Switcher/ Overflow
  3. Corporate Low Income
  4. Corporate Disabled/ Displaced

Each program has different guidelines from the State of Arizona that must be followed in order to award a scholarship to your child. Your child may qualify for more than 1 program so please fill out the application in full and see further down the page for further documentation and information. Please read and complete the entire application. 1. Information about the Student 2. Eligibility Determination and 3. Financial Documentation about your entire family.

Without a complete application, your student will not be eligible for any scholarship awards.

After submitting an application you will be redirected to our payment page to submit your application fee.

The student will then be considered for a scholarship award for the upcoming school year. In order to be considered, the completed application must be postmarked or sent to us by the application deadline, and the school must verify that the student is either in the enrollment process or currently enrolled at the school.

ASK Process for Scholarship Application and Approval

Arizona

FULLY complete online application paperwork including upload of any requested financial and/or eligibility documentation.

Submit to ASK with your application fee of $25.

Upon receipt of complete applications:

Individual Scholarships will be granted in the following order of priority:

  1. Students who were granted a scholarship in the prior school year.
  2. Siblings of students who were granted a scholarship in the prior school year or current year.
  3. Students who were recommended by a donor, ASK does not award, designate or reserve a scholarship solely on the recommendation of any person contributing money to ASK.
  4. Students in schools that were recommended by a donor.
  5. Students of families that are School Choice Champions
  6. Students in families determined to have the most financial need for tuition assistance

Switcher Scholarships will be granted to applicants in the following order of priority:

  1. Transferring from Public or Charter School
  2. Entering Kindergarten
  3. Previously Received Switcher or Overflow/Plus Scholarship or a Corporate Low Income or Displaced/ Disabled Scholarship
  4. Pre-K Student with Disabilities
  5. US Armed Forces Dependent
  6. Students who were recommended by a donor, ASK does not award, designate or reserve a scholarship solely on the recommendation of any person contributing money to ASK.
  7. Students in families determined to have the most financial need for tuition assistance

Corporate Low Income Scholarships are considered and granted with consideration to give first time eligible students a scholarship first so that they may continue to be eligible. They will be granted to applicants in the following order of priority:

  1. Entering Preschool with Disabilities or Kindergarten
  2. Transferring from public or charter school after attending for at least 90 days
  3. Eligible students attending a school that was recommended by a donor
  4. Students in families determined to have the most financial need for tuition assistance

Corporate Disabled/ Displaced Scholarships will be granted in the following order of priority:

  1. Eligible students attending a school that was recommended by a donor
  2. Students in families determined to have the most financial need for tuition assistance
  3. Recommendation of the school administration may be considered

Typically, our award cycle will be:

  1. June 1st Applications are due for consideration in the upcoming school year
  2. July 31st Scholarship letters will be granted and the school will be notified.
  3. September 1st First Payment to school

 

Special award cycle

  1. November 1st Applications are due
  2. December 15th Scholarship letters will be granted and the school will be notified.
  3. January 10th First Payment to School

Please review the income table below, in order to qualify for a Corporate Low Income Scholarship, your income must fall below the levels in the right column.

*A school tuition organization cannot award, restrict or reserve scholarships solely on the basis of donor recommendation.  A taxpayer may not claim a tax credit if the taxpayer agrees to swap donations with another taxpayer to benefit either taxpayer’s own dependent.
